BetaSafe — Free Beta Censor Editor
About BetaSafe — Free Beta Censor Editor
BetaSafe (also called Beta Safe Editor) is a free censor editor for the beta and “censored for betas” community. Blur, mosaic, pixelate, black-box or cover any part of an image, video or animated GIF, then export it — right in your browser, with no account. No uploads, everything stays on your device.
Censoring tools
Blur and Mosaic with adjustable Blur Strength, Pixel Harshness and Opacity; rectangle, circle, freehand paint and lasso regions; Edge Fill; Black Box text labels; a blackout (inverse) mode; and sticker and text overlays with custom fonts. Skin Effect covers only the skin inside a region (Liquid Glass, Blackout, Pattern, Pixelate or Color, with Body and Face toggles) and leaves clothing untouched; Eye Bar finds the faces inside a region and covers just the eyes.
AI Auto-Censor
AI Auto-Censor finds areas to cover in images, videos and animated GIFs and draws regions you can adjust before exporting. Detection runs on your device inside the browser — the model is downloaded once when you first use it, and your media never leaves your computer.
Video and animated GIF censoring
Load up to 10 images, videos and animated GIFs in one session. Videos and GIFs get timeline controls, frame-by-frame editing and keyframes. Animated GIFs export as GIF; video exports as MP4 or M4V when your browser can encode it, otherwise as a clearly named .webm file.
Private by design
All editing happens locally with client-side JavaScript, so your photos and videos are not uploaded or stored on our servers. Third-party ads on the site may use cookies — see the Privacy Policy.
Frequently asked questions
What is BetaSafe?
BetaSafe (Beta Safe Editor) is a free censor editor that runs in your web browser. It lets you blur, mosaic, pixelate, black-box or cover parts of images, videos and animated GIFs, and was made for the beta and “censored for betas” community.
Is BetaSafe free?
Yes. Every editing feature is free and there is no account to create. The site is supported by third-party ads and optional tips.
Are my images and videos uploaded to a server?
No. Editing, AI Auto-Censor and export all run locally in your browser, so your media stays on your device. Third-party ads on the site may use cookies; see the Privacy Policy for details.
How does AI Auto-Censor work?
AI Auto-Censor runs a detection model inside your browser, then draws censor regions you can move, resize or delete before exporting. The model file is downloaded to your browser the first time you use it; your media is never sent anywhere.
Can I censor videos and animated GIFs?
Yes. Videos and animated GIFs get timeline controls, frame-by-frame editing and keyframes, and AI Auto-Censor works across frames. Animated GIFs export as GIF. Video exports as MP4 or M4V when your browser can encode it, otherwise as a file clearly named .webm.
Which file formats are supported?
Images: JPG, PNG and WebP. Animated GIF. Video: MP4, M4V and WebM. Exports keep the source format where the browser can encode it, and a multi-image set can be downloaded as a ZIP.
Can I edit several files at once?
Yes. One session can mix up to 10 images, videos and animated GIFs. With two or more files loaded you can run AI Auto-Censor as a batch, and in browsers that support folder access you can write the censored results back to a folder.
Is there an app or APK?
No install is needed — BetaSafe works in any modern browser on desktop and mobile. On a phone you can add it to your home screen as a web app (PWA).
